Person-Centred Counselling
About Me
Anchor 1
I am a person-centred counsellor with 4 years qualified experience, working with a varied client group. The majority of my working life has been in Customer Service Roles, dealing on a daily basis with a varied array of people and issues, which I feel has helped me in my understanding of others processes.
It has enabled me to listen and help unpick certain issues that may arise for the client.
I hold both a Certificate and a Higher Professional Diploma in Person-Centred Counselling, which I gained from my training at Lc & Cta, based in Deptford. I have been a Personal & Professional Facilitator at this college since 2014. I have also been working as a counsellor at The Deborah Ubee Trust since 2013, working with a wide range of clients on a weekly basis.
I am qualified in Couples Counselling since 2017.
Some of the additional training I have undertaken to enhance my knowledge and understanding includes the following;
PTSD
Drama Therapy
Anger
Mental Health Issues
Woman in Danger
Focussing
Client Assessment
Working with Trauma
Childhood Sexual Abuse
I also attend regular and on-going continued personal and professional development through workshops, courses and personal therapy.
I am a registered member of the BACP. I adhere to the BACP code ethics and practise and receive regular supervision for my client work.
I have experience of working with young adults within a school setting, working for 1 year at Thomas Tallis in Greenwich.
I have full Professional and Public Liability Insurance.
